THE LAUNCH OF THE D.R.E.A.M.
URBAN ARTS DISTRICT
Two and a half years in the making and an entire year of old warehouse renovation, San Antonio Street Art is finally ready to launch an entire Arts District, the ground breaking of a new Street Art Park.
The D.R.E.A.M. Urban Arts District for the East Side runs just past Highway 37 as you leave Downtown. It stops at Cherry street and stretches from the Southern Entertainment Anchor, St. Paul Square, and extends all the way to 818 Austin Street with Burleson Beer Garden Complex anchoring the Northern Entertainment Anchor. Chestnut street in the next five years is set up to become “Street Art Way” with a concentration of new large scale murals and street art connecting these two entertainment anchors.
October 5, 2024 14 artists were selected to participate in the “Super Bowl of Street Art events” with us. The result, The Largest Outdoor Gallery in Texas, Phase 7. 18 new walls spanning across two blocks can be viewed and enjoyed now. Next year, we add this footprint.
