4 years in the making in th heart of the D.R.E.A.M. Mural Arts District on the East Side and the grand opening of the State’s first sanctioned street art park is finally here. 

We’re proud to officially open the gates to San Antonio’s newest creative landmark — the Street Art Park at Healy Murphy located at 210 Nolan, at the entry eay into the East Side.

This one-of-a-kind space transforms a long time neglected, drug riddled urban lot into a living, breathing canvas, celebrating street art, community, and culture. Designed as a hub for artists, creatives, tourists and neighbors alike, the park features 10 large-scale murals, a street artr basketball court and a mosaic art breakdancing pad for recreation. The vibrant public art, invites live activations, workshops, and future artistic collaborations and has significantly uplifted the underserved area with mental wellness, hope and uplifting spirit.

The Grand Opening marks more than just a ribbon cutting — it’s a celebration of creative placemaking, local talent, and the power of art to reclaim space and bring people together. Join us as we unveil new murals, connect with the artists behind the work, celebrate our breakdancing community and welcome the community into a space built by artists, for the city.

The D.R.E.A.M. Urban Arts District for the East Side runs just past Highway 37 as you leave Downtown. It serves as a beautiful and inviting entry way into the East Side. It stops at Cherry street and stretches from the Southern Entertainment Anchor, St. Paul Square, and extends all the way to 818 Austin Street with Burleson Beer Garden Complex as the Northern Entertainment Anchor. Chestnut street is in the five year process of making this street a sort of “Street Art Way” connecting these two entertainment anchors. San Antonio Street Art has advocated and solidified the improvement of Chestnut Streets sidewalks and streets with Public Works in order to make this street a main street with more walkable and bikeable friendly roads.
