Welcome to Wednesday Teen Art Jam at San Antonio Street Art Initiative, San Antonio’s best weekly creative hangout where teens can make art, learn new skills, move, listen to music, meet other young creatives, and be themselves.

This isn’t your typical after-school art class.

Its a weekly immersive cultural experience with guided art based projects and opportunity to showcase at our monthly 3rd Friday Artwalk. Every Wednesday evening, our studio becomes a place where visual art and breakdancing culture come together. Teens will work with real, full-time artists and instructors with hands-on visual art projects while sharing the space and energy of our breaking program. Expect street art, paint, drawing, design, music, movement, creativity, and plenty of room to experiment.

OUR MISSION.

For eight years we’ve been leading job placement and career development for adult artists. Now, we are opening our doors to teens. We believe young people deserve spaces where they can explore who they are without having to fit into a box. San Antonio Street Art Headquarters is that space for them.

Some students may already be serious artists. Others may have never picked up a paintbrush. Some might be into breaking. Some might just want to hang out with other creative people.

You don’t have to be an “artist” or a “dancer” to belong here.

Our goal is to give teens a positive, supervised environment where they can ask questions, build confidence, develop creative skills, discover new interests, and connect with a community that encourages them to create rather than just consume tech.
