ABOUT THE PROJECT
San Antonio Street Art was incredibly excited to start a new arts district for the East Side and move headquarters to this incredible side of town.
Our first big project is to paint the Nolan Street underpass off Chestnut street and tell the stories of the east side through our LARGEST OUTDOOR GALLERY N TEXAS Program. This was our second planned project. As part of our BRICK By BRICK Program, Los Otros Murals donated this wall to SASA. It was a passion project combining Los Otros love of the MLK March and the owners long desire to honor this building and the march as well.
Thanks to H-E-B we were able to add this colorful work of art just in time for the big day. Unoftunately, a deep freeze cause the march and mural unveiling to be canceld that year.
Luckily, 2025 brought the return of the big march and it was celebrated by a crowd of thousands as they passed by. We could not be more proud of this wonderful addition to our city. Stop by and see this masterpiece for yourself sometime.
